Hey there, everyone, this will be a very quick blog, so there might be a little bit of information from yesterday's events. Once everyone got inside the classroom, they started to take out their Agenda to write down the homework. Then, we had to take out our English notebooks for reading journal check on 6.1 through out 6.4. While Ms. Nakada was checking the English notebook she put the last parts of the movie, To Kill A Mocking Bird. When the movie was over, Ms. Nakada told everyone to turn to the page TKAM Book Vs. Movie notes to finish off. Then Ms.Nakada told the class to go to their Table of Contents and write down THUG Book vs Movie notes. They started to talk about how some events from the book did happened in the movie and how events didn't. We then recieve a white paper that we had to write on. It was about the books we have read during our literature circles, but before we could do anything the bell rang.

Q.Q Song
"What's Missing...''
Hw-Rj 6.1 Read 20 - 30 minutes.

So, the class started with the quote of the week which was, "I will not allow my life's light to be determined by the darkness around me."-Sojourner Truth.
After that, Ms. Nakada started talking about yesterday which was Presidents' Day. Then, the class started talking about dental matters or something like that. I'm not paying as much attention because I'm completely zoned out thinking of what to do for this blog. It took me about ten minutes to find the spelling check button and I still can't find it, but it's okay because it's only two words I'm confused about. Okay, so now we're listening to the song of the week which is called "Glory" - Common & John Legend.

Uh, I have no idea who Common is but I do know who John Legend is. This song sounds so motivating and I have no idea what it's talking about. I just realized I went from third person point-of-view to first person view.  Now, they are talking about what the song is about so I'm actually going to pay attention, so brb.

Okay, I'm back. So, the song is a reference to Rosa Parks. Rosendo is calling me a clown but thats alright.

Ms. Nakada passed out papers. Let me see what they are. Be right back, again. Okay, so it's called "Missing from Presidents'Day: The people They Enslaved." I have to read this so brb for like the fourth time again. Nooo the bell rang. Okay, well I guess I gotta go. Uh I pick Ailen okay bye.

Hi guys. So, today was Valentine's Day. Paras started to read his some-what long blog. I kinda actually wanted to do the blog because I said, "Why not?" I wanted to get it over with.

People started to say everyone was here, but Jason the one and only told them that we were missing few people. The first thing Ms. Nakada did was give us a paper. It was called "A Gift Of Words."  There was a poem on the paper called "For Keeps" from Joy Harjo. Ms. Nakada continued on and started to read the poem. She started to talk to us about some of the quotes from the poem. People had trouble looking at the projector and she told us that if she zooms out the screen will be blury. She asked the class if the they understood and they all said yes Then she started to talk about a dandalion and some people did not know what it was. The poem was longer than normal. I think the poem took almost half of the class so I don't think we were going to see some of the movie To Kill A Mockingbird. People started to tell Ms. Nakada that they wanted to reread the poem. After all that there was about five minutes left until class. We watched the movie for a bit, and the bell rang, so good bye.

Hey guys! This is my third blog and when Ms. Nakada asked who didn't do their third blog. I raised my hand, and when she asked who wanted to do it, I kept my hand up when no one else wanted to. I know this question is going to offend people but what is wrong with typing words in a computer?

Ms. Nakada started talking about the book MARCH, and she started talking about how a man was almost beaten to death and how these little girls died in the book. Then, she started talking about THE HATE U GIVE , how protests start happening and things like that, then Dalina tells some of the things that happen in the book. Jullan sneezes. Ms. Nakada calls on Ila but she doesn't answer, so she asks Denise starts telling what happens in the book. Then, Ms. Nakada calls on Dalina. Then, she also gives what happens in the book, and Ms. Nakada tells someone to spit out their gum.

Ms. Nakada then starts talking about how no one is perfectly innocent in this world. Ms. Nakada then starts talking about ALL AMERICAN BOYS. She then starts talking about TKAM  Ms. Nakada says that the book starts with the kids wanting to see Boo Radley and they do all of these dumb things to get to see him and that was part one. In part two, it was all about a man called Tom Robinson who was a black man who was accused or raping a white woman.

Ms. Nakada tells the class to pull out their English notebooks, and then I bring my things back to the computer since I left them at my desk. Ms. Nakada tells the students to write how the movie is faithful and how it departs. Then, she tells the class that it's an old movie from the sixties and it's in black and white.

I search for my notebook for thirty seconds and find it and then I start typing the blog again and I open my notebook and start writing. See you after.

I'm back. The lights go off and I hear singing from the speakers and see a black and white screen. I look for my blue pen and find it, then I start writing. Be right back. I am back. I keep looking up at the screen and I see a black and white screen. It turns out we're watching the movie version of the book. I hear a southern woman speaking, and I see people walking on the street. I open my water bottle and drink from it and look back up and then I start typing again. Jullan closes the door that was open and someone sneezes and Jullan says bless you, and so do I.

The little girl asks her dad, "Are we poor?" and the dad says, "We sure are," which made me chuckle a little bit. Logan is bending his neck in a really weird way, so I'm concerned if he's okay.

One departure, I'm pretty sure they didn't have a tree house in the book. Okay, the southern accent is starting to annoy me. When I look up my neck hurts, so, oof. I scratch my forehead, bump my leg into the desk, and start typing again. I look up about 50 times to watch the movie and down to type, then we get some announcements about some guy to go the main office.

I hear some little kid screaming in the movie and it reminds me of an eight year old kid who is raging since he just got killed in Fortnite. In the movie, their child is going to bed and the child asks, "What time is it?' and the man says, "eight-thirty." I think in my mind, why would you make a child go to sleep at eight-thirty? I see a kid talking in the movie and I thought it was talking to itself so I felt kind of bad for it.

I get a gulp of water again and I start typing again. I see a kid get in to a tire and they start rolling all over the place. The kid rolls into the Radley's place and then they run away. The two kids lift the other kid and he starts desscribing what's happening then they get caught and sent home. Ms. Nakada says, "Do not pack up."

Ms. Nakada turns on the lights and Nelson tells Ms. Nakada what he noticed. He said that the tire rolling and the touch of the house's events were combined. Ms. Nakada says the whole Boo Radley story is the same. She also said that everyone was pretty poor since everyone was poor. Ms. Nakada says we can pack up and one final word from me. It doesn't matter to me whether people want me to do the blog or not. I'll do the blog anyway even if people don't want me to. I don't want to be negative here so I am officially ending the blog. The bell rang! See you guys later. This blog is so long..

Hi, so Alissia decided to choose me for the blog. Honestly, I don't want to do this. Anyways, so Ms. Nakada starts the Quote of the week which was," People spend their whole lives looking for love. Poems and songs and entire novels are written about it. But how can you trust something that can end as soon as it begins?" - Nicola Yoon The Sun Is Also A Star But before we started the quote of the week she started asking the class what we want friday, kinda got hungry, but not really.

Anyways,  We just started the question of the week which was, " Can you make someone fall in love with you?" My honest opinion, I have no idea, cause I don't believe in it, but that's just my opinion. Than, Ms. Nakada starts talking about To All the Boys I Loved, the book project Jade made. Now we're doing the song of the day it's called "The Promise" - When in Rome. This song is about love, and my favorite lyric is, "I'm sorry, but I'm just thinking of the right words to say."

Now, we're starting literature circles. I may just read, but I don't know. Well, the bells about ring bye, have a good rest of the day!

They started to talk about Hastings because they wanted to know if he has hair. Ms. Nakada passed out papers to the class. It was about Michael Brown and how he was shot by a cop. When they were done with the paper, Ms. Nakada told  the class they could do their book projects. The bell is about to ring, and I got to go to sixth period bye.

So, today we started with David reading his blog. After he was done, he chose two people, and then changed his mind and picked me. I didn't really wanna do it but it's whatever. After this, Ms. Nakada starts talking about the black lives matter movement and puts on a video how it started in a town named Ferguson. The police had shot and killed a black man named Michael Brown. After the police shot him they left his body laying in the street. After this happened, people were upset that the police could do something so cruel to someone that didn't even commit a crime. The video continued, it explained about a bunch different stories that happened throughout 2014-2015. Then, everyone went into lit. circles and she walked around and check everyone's lit. notes. The class was pretty quiet for the remainder of the class.

Hello, Class. I got picked for the blog sadly, but I at least got it out of the way. Today, we did the quote of the week which was "If you have the feeling something is wrong, don't be afraid to speak up" by Fred Korematsu. Then, We talked about the question of the week which was: "Do you follow the golden rule?" which means treating others the way you want to be treated.

Now, we are doing the Song of the week which is "Strange Fruit" by Billie Holiday which is a really strange song. We then started talking about lynching from when black people were being hanged and how there is a museum to learn about a specific part of lynching, a woman went to the lynch grounds where it happend a white guy was driving his truck and stopped hopped out and asked her what she was doing and she showed him the paper, then he got down on the ground to help her.

Now, we have 8 minutes of class left we took out our Lit Circle Notes, the end.
