We started off the period with Ila passing out the cupcakes because it was her birthday yesterday! After all the passing out of the cupcakes, we began on Inktober, which was "Ripe." Oh yeah! Tonight is HALLOWEEN!!!! Okay, that was off topic, but anyways, after Inktober we began on "NaNowriMo" and then Ms. Nakada told everyone to turn to the Character Questionnaire for the novel we are going to create. My goal for the NaNowriMo novel is at least 10,000 words. Okay, well it's time to go, oh yeah I pick Ailen for the blog!

First, we did blog corrections. Then, we did the quote of the week which was: ''If there is a book you really want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it'' by Toni Morrison. After that, we did the question of the week which was: ''Do teachers assign to much homework?'' Then, the song of the week which was: ''You Are the Everything'' by R.E.M. When that was done, people took out their Inktober and started drawing. Ms. Nakada then handed out packets and started talking about it. After that, we went on a website and put some info in, and then we didn't do anything afer that because the bell rang. Well, bye, I guess.

     So, after class started I was supposed to read my second blog, but I just wanted to know, what would happen if someone didn't write much? Ms. Nakada seemed  really mad, so I oop, so now I'm re-doing my blog.

      But meanwhile, in class we started Inktober, and then we started to read a book called How Many Days To America, and Ms. Nakada almost cried. After that story, we had to take a test about it, and finally, we started to read 'til the bell rang, so, bye, bye!!!!!, Gotta go to PE.

First, Key read his blog. Then, Ms. Nakada told the class to do Inktober for six minutes. Next, we took out our reading journals so Ms. Nakada can check the eights and nines in everyones journals. After, half the class was reading silently to follow up in their books. To be honest, I didn't like this class, but now I kinda like this class. I got used to this class, but this class is pretty crazy. Now this is the end if my blog. Goodbye.

I know the only way I could get chosen was either by Daniel or Ilia, because they were the only ones who would do it on the first blog, but I am sure I would be not the second to last person who does it. I wasn't mad that Daniel chose me to do the blog or read it to class. I wanted to do the blog the last to choose someone that does the blog and then they can choose me.

Ms. Nakada showed us a video, but I don't know what it was a bout. Then, we did quote of the week. "No one leaves home unless,home is the mouth of a shark" by Warsan Shire. After, we did questions of the week. Next, we did or hear song of the week: "Black Boys on Mopeds." I didn't like it a lot. But I couldn't wait to do the blog so I could do it. Thanks, Daniel, for choosing me even when I didn't wanted to do it now. So, I'm the last person to choose a person who started the blog.

Evil Ms. Nakada ate all the kids. Or did she? Or she forgot the ten kids when they were trying to get away and she tern them into stone when they answer the math question wrong. They finally broke out of the stone they were in the room. They should of moved out as fast as they could but six of them did. The other four did not. They ran out in the hallway they heard Ms. Nakada when she was coming down the hallway. All they had was stone powder, rope, and pizza. They realized the hallway was the same color as the stone powder. They had good amount of time sense she was eating the kids that didn't want to leave the room. So, they had enough time to camofloge them self. When Ms. Nakada came to grab the pizza the students tied here up as fast as they could but when they were running away they noticed something about her hat they got outside and saw someone with a hat controling her. Maybe she wasn't evil and the person controling her was evil.

Ok, today is Friday, a short day, so I'll do it fast. We start, as always, with blog corrections and Ilia spelled my name wrong "WHY?" Next, everyone takes out their Inktober and draws a (misfit).
Also, Ms. Nakada showed us one of the Inktober drawings and you know what? I like how it is drawn.
Next, Ms. Nakada checking today our reading journals, as well she tell us if you still not return The Outsider, take out all post-it notes and give it back. A little after, students write a Quick Write on: does Movie T.O.  depart or remain faithful to the book.

Hello my name is Ilia, and today I'm doing the blog. So, Ms. Nakada gives the class six minutes to do Inktober. We have to draw ornament. Then, the time was up, and Ms. Nakada passed out the Student-Let Conferencing paper. After that, Ms. Nakada told us to take backpacks with us, for the Student Led Conference Night, and tell to your mom and dad that she is the best teacher. And then every one got on Schoology, to put their grade on the Student-Led Conferencing form. Then, class started to do the Book vs Movie Q.W., and that was it. A short day for class, and a really long day for me because I have to sit here and do the blog. I hope Daniel is going to do good in his first blog. Alright, here is the bell. Good bye!

 So today, Kailah read her blog, and we did blog corrections. Then, we did our Inktober for six minutes. After that, Ms. Nakada asked everybody to take their English notebooks out and started writing the title, Book v. Movie. We continued the movie The Outsiders and everybody was quietly watching. After finishing the movie, we started writing about the difference of the movie and book. The bell rang, so I have to go, bye!

              When we came into the class, we had to write our agenda down. Joshua read his blog and he tried to choose Ila, but she already went, so he chose me. Then, we had to do our Inktober and the word was legend. After that, Ms. Nakada started talking about the PSAT that all the 8th graders have to take. She told us where to go, and that the district paid for everything. Finally, we continued watching the movie The Outsiders.

               Hey there people, ummm this is the very first time I'm doing the blog, so please don't say bad comments about this. Anyway, I'm getting off topic here, so this is what happened during our time in class. Ms. Nakada told Fabian to come to the front of the class to read his blog out loud in front of the class. While I was getting my agenda to write down the class agenda, Fabian said my name, and I was shocked to hear my name. I knew sooner or later that I was about to be called, so I played along with it. Ms. Nakada said to the class to start doing the Inktober for six minutes. Then, when you're finished, take out your English notebook to write down the scores of your English assignments that were passed back to us to write it down. Then, in the end, everyone put their assignments that were passed back in the red folder and passed it to the very corner of the right side of the table. Last but not least, we watched the movie, and for those who didn't finish their essays were to finish it. So, that's it for today. I can't wait for the next person I am going to pick to do the next reading blog. Bye, and have a nice weekend everybody!!!!! :3

Today in class,  Ailen is going to read her blog and after she finished reading it she picked me. Then, Ms. Nakada told us to take out our Inktober to do, and today we have to draw Frail for Inktober. She gave them 5 minutes to do Inktober because today is Tuesday we get out early. Next, Ms. Nakada told them to work on their essays for The Outsiders . We have to do 20 essays so we can watch The Outsiders  movie. While everyone was doing their essays, I was deciding who to pick for the blog, and I decided to pick Maria for the blog. After, Ms Nakada told them to pack up, and the bell ringed.                  Hi, guys. So, today I guess I'm doing the Blog. I kinda already knew that I was gonna do the blog today, because Julian said, "Be ready, Alissia, for  tommorow your gonna do the blog." But anyways, Ms. Nakada asked the students to take out their Inktober drawings and to start working on them quietly. They only have six minutes to work on them. The time was up, and Ms. Nakada told them to now work on their essays for The Outsiders. Some students are writing their essays on a piece of paper and others were either working on iPads or AlphaSmarts. Ms. Nakada then shows her first body paragraph on the board so the students can see how to do their body paragraphs. 

So, now the students are quietly working on their paragraphs, and Ms. Nakada is walking around checking to see if the kids are working on their paragraphs. It is time to go now, guys. BYE!

Hi, guys. So, today Ila read her blog and after she read it, she chose someone.
I really thought she was going to choose Kailah because that is her bestfriend.
Sadly, she chose me out of nowhere, which was really unnecessary, but anyways
there is no taking back that she chose me. So, anyways we took out our binder rem-
inders so we can write down the agenda, and so Ms. Nakada can check our reading
journal. After that, we started on our Inktober drawing bait, wasn't really sure but we got
through that. Then, we got back to using the Alpha smarts or our notebooks to work on
our essays. Everybody is now making their decisions on if Ponyboy will stay gold. Now the
bell is about to ring, and I finally got this over with. By the way, if you're reading this, Alissia, go sit in that chair and do that blog.

Hi guys. I'm doing the blog today. I knew I was going to get chosen for the blog today because no one chose me yet until today. I don't really want to do the blog, but that's okay. I think I'll do fine. So, today we are doing Inktober which sounds really fun because you get to show Ms. Nakada your art skills. Everyone was quietly working on their Inktober, but then it was time to move on, but a few people got to show the class what they drew. Then, everyone had to take out their English notebooks for   

 T.O. Essays so we can start are first Body Paragraphs about The Outsiders. Then, Ms. Nakada gave us a hand out for the Essays and what you need to do for The Outsiders. Everyone got up to get an iPad to start their essays that are due on Friday. After she told us that the essay is due on Friday, everyone started working on it so they can get it done. Everyone returned their iPads and sat down. Then, Ms. Nakada said it was time to go. Bye Guys.

Hi, hello. My name is Rosendo. Today was the first day of Inktober, I was not really ready to do the blog. I was actually kind of surprised I got picked. Anyway, today we heard the song of the week "Keep ya head up" by Tupac Shakur. The song was actually okay. It had a good beat. After that, we did the inking and stuff. She gave us a certain time. Of course, I didn't do it because I was doing the blog. I was hoping to do the ink drawing. It really sounded like fun. Then, I started laughing because Ailen asked Fabian if he had a dad, so I got kinda distracted. Ms. Nakada started showing people how to fold a piece of paper. Well, anyway, I didn't want to do this so GOOD BYE!!!

Inktober starts Tuesday


  Hi, I'm Kalani, if you don't know me, so yeah. Two people came up to share their book projects. Then, everyone was in reader's workshop. When it was reader's workshop, all that was in my head was food and Find Dory. I don't know why Finding Dory was in my head maybe because there was a box in front of me that said Finding Dory. The room was quiet, well at least for the most part. There were also Clorox wipes in front of me. I gave Ms. Nakada my book project, well that was that. I look and I see wooden looking sad and the pyramid of success. Well, this is going to be a short blog, so bye and have a nice life. Oh, and the evil Ms. Nakada ate all the kids. The end.
